Justin Nurin is from Annapolis, Maryland. He has played trumpet for 16 years. His main musical focus is in orchestral, chamber and solo literature, but he has also had experience playing jazz, commercial and even rock music.
      
     Besides performing, Mr. Nurin is experienced in teaching beginners to college music majors. He has taught at camps around the country such as Interlochen in Michigan, and Kinhaven in Vermont. He was a graduate teaching assistant while pursuing his masters degree.

     Mr. Nurin's received his BM from Boston University, MM from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and is completing a DMA from the prestigious Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University.
      
     Outside of music, Mr. Nurin keeps very active. He is a sailing instructor and has raced competitively on many types of sailboats. He has played lacrosse, soccer and hockey, and he still continues to water and snow ski.
